My artmaking is full of people and the human experience. Here, in New Zealand, the narrative of the landscape supersedes any person. Mountains are both the subject and the story. The personal history, all of the physical evolution and continual cycles of growth and erosion are clear: Wisdom in experiential time of the mountains and hills dwarfs the tiny lifespan of a person.
